I know you don't live in New Jersey or New York, but what do you think about New Jersey Governor Chris Christie's closing (or his staff's closing) of the George Washington Bridge, apparently for political payback?
And do you think he would be a good presidential candidate for the Republicans in 2016?
Sincerely,
Well, Not That Sincerely
Dear Insincere,
Madame L was pretty sure the Republicans would find a way to jettison Gov. Christie well before the pre-2016 battles really got going. But, well, he seems to have done it to himself, didn't he.
No further commentary needed:
Sincerely,
Madame L, AKA Your Friend in Anti-Transparently-Faux Conservatism
P.S. BTW, Madame L is SERIOUSLY considering not getting so taken up with politics with the upcoming elections. It just wore her out last time.

Once politics gets to be a serious thing, and no longer just entertainment, then it's Bad for the Soul. Following it is like drinking drain-cleaner, hoping it will stop the Full-of-Himself Guy from getting elected.
A hand-written sign seen in downtown Launceston, Tasmania two weeks ago:
"The problem with political jokes is that sometimes they get elected."
