People can look at the giant Obama sand sculpture (which turns out to be a gigantic ad for South Carolina's Myrtle Beach!)

Hucksters are selling all kinds of Obama memorabilia, including a cute and kitschy calendar.

For those who aren't going to Charlotte, you can watch the convention on MSNBC, pretty much gavel to gavel, and the prime-time bits on the network news shows. (Madame L is not providing links to those references because, well, because you'll probably want to watch them on the TeeVee instead of the Internet Machine.
