The Lie: Because I don't live in a swing state or district, I'm not even going to bother to vote tomorrow. The polls all show that Romney/Obama will win, based on the Electoral College, so it doesn't even matter.
The Truth: Every vote counts. Hopefully you're also aware of who's running for what office in your state, county, and municipality.
Do you realize that even an office that seems like nothing more than a fancy title can have a huge effect on elections? That's what has happened in several states this year, when Republican secretaries of those states arranged to shorten early voting hours and decrease days, but only in districts dominated by low-income, African-American, Hispanic, elderly, and young people, effectively restricting the rights of those people to vote.
